Founders Update #72
Beta is live, customers are coming online, and we’re learning a lot.

Michael here!
We’ve been heads down fixing issues, improving the app, and introducing new features for our Beta customers.
As expected, a lot of small things have come up, what matters most is that we’re seeing the system work: customers report issues, our team investigates, we prioritize the right fixes, and updates start going out.
Below, yet another Beta customer shared something that made our whole team smile: after their first night with Bía, they woke up to a sleep score of 93.
Not every first night will look the same, but moments like that remind us why we’re building Bia - to help the world fall asleep.
Team Update
We’ve grown the Bía team to 17 employees
We’ve recruited two additional firmware engineers, bringing our firmware team to four people. This is a major step as we continue to improve the mask, fix bugs, and build the features that will make Bía more powerful over time.
We’ve also added two new customer service reps to help us respond to you faster. Right now, we receive an average of 70 questions a day from visitors and customers across email and social media. Growing the support team means we can answer your questions faster.
Our in-house team now includes: 9 engineers, 2 scientists, 2 operations team members, 2 customer service reps, 1 product manager, and 1 marketing professional.
Plus, we’re supported by more than a dozen highly specialized contractors across manufacturing, design, science, and operations.
This is the strongest team we’ve ever had.
Timeline Update
Production is moving! Here’s where the next batches stand right now.
Batch #1
This is the first 1,000 completed units currently in production. This week, PCB production was completed and the boards arrived at the facility responsible for PCB assembly.
Batch #2
Includes 2,000 units and is scheduled to begin PCB production shortly.
These run will include PCB assembly improvements based on what we've learned from Beta. Members of our team will be at the facility next month to oversee the process in person and make sure those improvements are carried through properly.
Batch #3-6
Stay tuned! Our plan is to start a new batch every month, with each batch taking roughly 12 weeks from production start to delivery.
We’ll update your account every week when new production information becomes available, so you have a clearer view of where your order sits as it moves toward your doorstep.
This is what progress looks like now: customers using Bía, issues being fixed, the team growing, and production batches moving forward.
Log in to your account and select your order to see where your Bía is in the production process. We’ll update your timeline each week as your mask moves forward.
