Founders Update #59
In two weeks, we’re back on the production line and this time the entire team is coming with us to accelerate progress. We’ll be testing every unit before it ships to our Beta customers. For those of you on the Beta waitlist, you'll be hearing from us before the end of April

Michael here! Short but exciting one this week!
Half of our team is on-site with our manufacturers with the rest arriving over the weekend. So far, we’ve had some great sessions with our manufacturing partners and right now we’re fully focused on deep testing across the first production units.
After you have waited this long, we want to make sure that when Bía arrives on your doorstep it works as intended.
Production Testing Plans
With hundreds of components coming from suppliers around the world, quality control is a huge part of the process.
One faulty part can turn into a bad experience if it’s not caught early. That’s why we’ve invested heavily into building a system that catches issues before they ever leave the factory.
During our last production run (shared in Founders Update #56), we ran these tests for the first time at scale, and they did exactly what they were supposed to do. We found:
- Minor solder inconsistencies
- Component baking issues
- and of course the issue with our high-speed data lines.
Now that we made all of the fixes, this week we're heads-down, focused, running hundreds of tests on hundreds of boards to get these out to you as fast as we can.
Stay tuned for bigger news next update!
