Beta Summary 🥼
This is a quick overview of Beta Phase #1 (testing the fit and comfort of a mask without electronics), specifically, the general feedback we received. We'll do deep dives into the specific issues and fixes in future updates Our wins...
- Appearance is sleek, modern, futuristic, and premium
- Interior fabric described as "perfect"
- It's 100% blackout and comfortable
- Room for eyelashes was a nice surprise.
Our learnings...
- Straps and zipper need polish. Currently these are difficult to use and don't match the Bía aesthetic. We're already looking into alternative options.
- Pressure points due to strap position. This is also something we noticed in product demos that was confirmed through Beta. The good news is that we already have a solution planned and it will be implementing it for Beta Phase #2.
- Quality control. With all the in-depth feedback we received during Beta, we're able to build comprehensive QC protocols for future production.
Exciting things to come...
- Deep dives. Over the next few updates we'll be talking about the specific issues our Beta customers experienced and what we're doing to solve them.
- Packaging. Stay tuned! Exciting packaging news is coming soon.
Overall our Beta customers have logged hundreds of nights sleeping with Bía, have collectively submitted over 800 surveys, and another 70 have personally connected with us over video calls to share their thoughts. We're still organizing the feedback and will have more to share in future updates.
Final Fixes & Timeline 🚀
Now it's time to translate the Beta feedback into actions. We've carefully considered everyone's experiences, we are locking in essential improvements, and have an updated timeline. Watch the video to learn more.
We’ve learned so much from Beta, and now we’re making targeted refinements to ensure Bía is comfortable, premium, and truly ready for your daily use. With these improvements, we've set a clear path to launch:
- 60 days for final tooling
- 60 days for Beta Phase Two
- 60 days for mass production
That means we're on track to begin shipping the first units in December. We’re listening, we’re refining, and we’re locking in all the details, ensuring your experience with Bía is bold, premium, and extraordinary. What do you think of this direction? Tell me about it in the Founder Feedback Survey.
Instead of rushing a product out the door that's untested, we're running Beta, and making sure the mask that ends up in your hands is is comfortable, reliable, and truly premium.
Durability! Without the raised edge and stitching the mask wouldn't be able to survive the number of wash cycles we have as a requirement.
We've taken all your feedback and put it all together on our website as a dedicated FAQ.
