Timeline Update ⏰

Andrew and I have put together a quick video outlining the updated timeline and our progress. Lots of details in here that you don't want to miss!

In summary, we are so excited to announce that we have switched to a manufacturer who is open and transparent with a proven track record of developing high-end wearables.

This doesn't come without setbacks - we have to restart some processes, and that will add 6 months to our timeline. Details of this are in the video, including a detailed breakdown as what these 6 months will exactly entail.

As a thank you for sticking by us through “production hell”, we're including a free travel case for customers who have placed their order before September 13.

Our Wins & Learnings

🏆 We've booked overseas trips to visit manufacturers during every step of the process to ensure our high standards are being met.

🏆 We've identified areas of our electronics where we can reduce power while making Bía more powerful. Right now we're sitting at 1-2 nights on a single charge, however, with these optimizations we hope to extend it to 3-5 days. 

💡 Building an incredible product has no shortcuts. Rushing Bía means sacrificing quality. We won't make this mistake again and our new manufacturer matches our standards.

💡 We have completed testing the new electronics with only minor errors in the circuitry. We've been told that this is normal for a product at our stage, however, we plan on accelerating the next revision by bringing on high-level hardware expertise to conduct a full engineering review of the hardware.

Did you order all the components for Beta?

Yes, all of the components for Beta electronics boards have been ordered and are at the factory waiting for production. This has helped us accelerate parts of the manufacturing processes.
